Ivan Ortiz Rodriguez
Data Science Ph.D. Student (Cycle 34)
Bio:
Ecologist and environmental scientist with spatial analysis and big data management capabilities. Specialized in modeling spatial processes of land use change, employing Machine Learning and Data Mining tools. Dedicated to uncovering complex dynamics within ecosystems and socio-ecosystems. Holds extensive academic experience in the study of tropical plant population and community dynamics, with an emphasis on conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
Research Interest:
Ivan is interested in the application of Machine Learning and Data Mining tools for the understanding of complex relationships in the study of ecosystems and socio-ecosystems. Previously, he has been developed academically in the study of the dynamics of populations and communities of tropical plants for their conservation and sustainable use.
