Tommaso Radicioni
Data Science Ph.D. Student (Cycle 33)
Bio:
At the end of October 2010, I received my Bachelor Degree in Physics at the University of Pisa (grade: 107/110). During my Master’s Degree, I attended two different summer programme experiences: a three-month programme at CERN (2014), in Geneva, and a two-month programme at Fermilab (2015), in Chicago. At the end of October 2016, I received my Master’s Degree in High Energy Physics at the University of Pisa (grade: 110/110). My Master’s thesis title is "Calibration and performance optimization of the Electromagnetic Calorimeter in Mu2e". During my academic career, I acquired experience both in using several programming languages (Python, R, C++) and software programs and in applying mathematical models in different research areas.
In November 2017, I started the joint PhD program in Data Science at the Scuola Normale Superiore created in collaboration with University of Pisa, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca and National Research Council of Italy (CNR).
Research Interest:
My recent interests are on network science and opinion dynamics in social media. More specifically, I'm working on a PhD research project which concerns the understanding of opinion propagation in the online social media.
